Why do I have to log in repeatedly after I've already logged in?

I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong, but when I log onto the TMF, then post, then move to a different section and try to post, I get a message telling me I'm not logged in or don't have permission to post. I then log in again and can post. I also have to log in yet again in order to log out. Help! I'm technologically deficient! 🙂
