I’m curious to know your motivation and experience. Why do you seek for professional ticklers/ticklee? Not a judgemental post.
Are you talking about your experience?Because for most people it's the only way to have a proper tickling session, like we see in videos. And, for some people, it may be the only way to tickle anyone and have any actual tickling as part of their lives. And even for those with people they can tickle; it's probably not a prolonged tickling like you get in a session with a professional mistress. For some people having sessions a "professional tickler/ticklee" as you call it, may be the only way to embrace their love and interest in tickling.
I’m really glad someone asked this without judgement, because I’ve always struggled to understand it too (at least before I got into the pro sphere myself).I’m curious to know your motivation and experience. Why do you seek for professional ticklers/ticklee? Not a judgemental post.
Thank you for the answer!I’m really glad someone asked this without judgement, because I’ve always struggled to understand it too (at least before I got into the pro sphere myself).
Some of the reasons I’ve learned so far:
• It works out financially cheaper to just pay for one guaranteed session, compared to spending a lot more money for a gathering where there’s not even a guarantee of play. (Obviously this is a controversial one, but that doesn’t change the fact that people still desire play when they attend gatherings).
• It cuts out all the bullshit. Some of us are neurodivergent and can’t handle all the stupid game-playing that some people do on the scene. In pro settings, all parties involved get something they want, and the boundaries are much clearer as well.
• (Another controversial one here) Some men are just… really, really picky. They’ll watch tickling videos, then try to find an IRL play partner but find that no one matches their aesthetic preferences or whatever. It obviously sucks that some people are shallow, but paying a model serves as a valid solution to their problems.
• Similarly, there’s a huge supply-and-demand issue when it comes to female lers vs people wanting to be tickled by women. Straight male lees, lesbian lees, etc. plus there’s a lot of male switches who’ve found plenty of female lees but none of them were keen on switching.
• The last reason is simple curiosity. That’s perfectly valid too.
I might actually make this a post on fetlife, because the U.K. scene harbours a lotttttt of hate towards sex workers and buyers. Maybe posting an explanation will help them understand better.
Mind games. Emotional blackmail. Passive-aggressive behaviour. Manipulation. People lying about their true intentions. Tons of unspoken and unwritten rules that you have to follow or else people will call you “rude” and “selfish”. It all gets so exhausting. Even when there’s no money involved, sessions can still feel transactional if you have a shitty play partner. At least in pro settings, it’s a lot faster and clearer and both parties are satisfied in the end.Could you please explain more the neurodivergent thing? What’s the game-playing you are talking about?
It’s a good question. This is a tricky one because different people have different needs. Personally, I appreciate a spacious venue (where people aren’t bumping or knocking into each other). Could also make sure the music isn’t too loud and the lights aren’t too bright or strobing. There have been times where I’ve been to general kink events with deafening music, where people literally have to shout into each other’s ears to hear each other. Every time I try to “suck it up and deal with it”, I just end up with a splitting migraine. Not ideal…Also, if you don’t mind answering my curiosity, how a gathering would be better suitable for neurodivergent people? – full disclosure: I host gatherings and tickle parties and I care about neurodivergent people’s needs, so I’m interested in ways to improve the quality of what I do.
