Okay, normally, I post a picture featuring my online persona character Khali on my birthday most years, sometimes normal, sometimes tickling-based etc.
I unfortunately didn't have a lot of free time these past few weeks due to a very crowded Xmas/holidays so there was no real time to whip up one this year.
However, I had been sitting on this picture since around April/May this year, and just gave it a shading a few weeks ago. It was drawn just before my computer died for the final time and hence, it's probably somewhat different than recent works (you'll see more of these 'lost' sketches in weeks to come).
So, I figure it's worth passing some of these shaded sketches along...as you can see, the Khali birthday pic this year is a fairly 'normal' one...
...with some hard attempts at dynamic poses and perspective. 😉
I haven't much with OC Marina in quite awhile, and I think she got annoyed enough at being neglected to try and wildly jump Khali herself in response, sailblade and all, from an overhead position. Khali isn't helpless, of course, her bladed weapon is at the ready...but will that powerful roundhouse kick she just started to unleash make it around her body in time to interrupt Marina's cute arching dive?
Again, trying some dynamic fighting posing here, and consider the view is actually supposed to be from underneath Khali looking up at Marina diving from the 'sky'. It's tricky but hopefully came out well. ^^
