Why is there no chatroom here?

I have been looking around the site since I got here and noticed there is no chatroom. Can someone tell me why? Would it require a lot more work?

I am just curious. I am not complaining at all.

Yes, it would require much work. Way more than I, myself, am willing to put forth. Also, chatroom programs can be quite expensive.

I give a gigantic huge mega thumbs down to the chatroom idea!

Well actually I know a very nice program that integrates with vbulletin forum system well, no special coding required. However, like Pawz said it would be a lot of work to maintain, and I don't feel like taking all of the TMF's ideas.... 😉

Hey, that's a shame folks. I mean, I like the TMF but I think this site is every bit as good. I don't know exactly what is entailed in setting up a chatroom but it would be real class, man. If there's anything that is required that can be obtained from us members then I'm sure at least some people will try to help.

I don't post too often but while I'm at it I'll say a hell of a congrats to the moderators and creators of the site. This place is damn good. Thanks for all the work - which is to the benefit of everyone here. I'd contribute some cash too but I'm a scrutty lil student and I'm bloody skint all the time. If there's anything people can do to help just give a shout out, dude.

Glad to have you with us moon. However like I said before, chatrooms are a load of work. I am a chat mod over at the TMF and it is just a major pain in the rear to run a chatroom. I think the one over there is plenty imo.

I would like to say a chat room would be great. I know where you could get one for free. No I aint bullshitting you dog. Go to chatshak.com and get a free one. There are no payments at all. I got one for my very small site.

I agree a Chat room would be greatly welcomed. It would improve the interaction and people would get to know each other faster. It wouldn't be a steal of the TMF's ideas as there have been many forums dedicated to tickling who have had chat rooms in the past, its just the TMF is the main one everyone in the community seems to flock to. Any form of chat program even one of the free ones with ads would be realy kewl. I think this site rocks so much more than the TMF keep up the good work tickletheater. 😀

When I started this thread, I did not mean for it to go in this direction at all. It was just a question. I wanted to know why there wasn't one. I was not at all suggesting there should be one.

Whenever I am online I am usually in there. (I am usuall the only one in there, but we can change that) Please give me a visit. The thing that says if I am online or not is broke it always says I am offline just ignore it. The space between the h and the 8 is actually an underscore ( _ ).
