Sad but true, but I've just been sat here trawling through a few web sites, found a chat room of which one of the side rooms was called The Dungeon, decided to take a look, there were people there chatting about some very explicit matters, but as soon as I asked if anyone was into tickling - Whoa, the responses were amazing, I was everything from a weirdo, sick, sad, perverted to things that quite honestly aren,t printable. What is it with some people? Why can,t people accept that tickling can be fun, innocent, harmless and a great way to enrich someones life. Sorry folks, grumble over.

the simplest answer is fear.

personally i think you are right, some people are afraid of tickling mainly because just for that split second or however long it takes, the ticklee is made to do something which in some cases they dont wanna do and lose control of there body i guess and i reckon that is what some ppl are afraid of....just an idea??!

Tickling on the other hand, is almost totally unheard of. 99 out of 100 people would not realise that there even is such a thing as a tickling fetish; wheras everyone knows of the existence of rubber,BDSM,S&M etc etc etc.
Having thought that and knowing the way that vanilla people react to "normal" fetishists, I would have thought that they would have understood how we in the tickling community feel.🙄

Your point was very valid, and I really appreciate you not taking offense on a newbie poster. The BDSM that we see on TV to me is the normalist thing shown. It can get very graphic in some situations, but do you think that that would be shown on TV? Heck no...lol! Personally, I don't blame them. It's the same thing for tickling also...that shows up on TVs and in movies, but until society accepts those things as being "normal", we have to deal with it. It's like the times that I have run into others, like me who say... a submissive is a submissive. To others, there are "true submissives" and then there are "wanna be's". People will argue til they are blue in the face and describe what a submissive does and still tell me that I am not submissive. I gave up, because it wasn't worth my time...I know who and what I am, eventhough I have been banned from certain groups because I am not a "true" submissive.(hardy har har!) Unfortunately, as of right now, the Bdsm lifestyle is under attack from some "think-they-know-everything-broadminded groups". There was over the winter season (I think) a couple of gatherings that were held in hotels with everything secure and safety in check. We are trying to bring this lifestyle into the light with alot of fighting for our rights. I hate to say it, but unfortunately this same thing could happen to the tickling fetish also...be prepared! ticklemad you bring up a great point! With all of the fetishes out there, ours seems to be one of the most innocent I can think of. A friend of mine has always been open about his love of "golden showers" and anything pee related, yet acts stunned when he finds out about tickling... confusing 🙂

Maybe so many people have a problem with it because so many of them dont want to associate something as innocent as tickling with sexuality. Now look at it this way, if the tickling fetish was just blown wide open and everyone knew about it, eventually some narrow minded asshole in power would make it grounds for sexual harrassment when a parent tickles their child! Basically the idea of purely "innocent tickling" will be scarred because of this new idea of "tickle torture" for sexual pleasure. (yeah I know we dont all do it for sexual pleasure, but most people will only center on the worst possible idea, you know how people are.) This in turn over time will make our numbers scarce, fewer and fewer people growing to like tickling because it will be and even more taboo subject.....which is why I believe its better that this remains an underground fetish. I kinda like it that way actually, like some kind of private club no one knows about! Not only that, you realize in the world of Sata Masochism and Fetishes with all the black leather freaks and psychos, that WE ARE THE OUTCASTS!?!? What we do is to extreme even for them! WE ROCK! LOL

One thing I've noticed is in the leg magazines like Leg Show,Leg Tease and all the other ones is that tickling is hardly mentioned I've been reading those magazines overa 6 1/2 year period on and off but usually left cold as far as tickling In legshow there is a colum called Cyber Slut This gal searches the inter net for foot sites Tickling gets mentioned once A few years back she gave the site for tickle gal I'm just curious as to why that is You would figure those magazines as taking tickling somewhat seriously
