Here's the update I wrote it mostly over my lunch break

My wife’s name is Emily so I’ll call her that for the rest of the thread instead of just saying my wife over and over.

Ok so basically I didn't hear from her for a while after I got that text about them making her leave her shoes at the door, but she texted me again saying “They got my feet so bad babe, I should have worn my docs (winky emoji). It was so horrible I’ll tell you about it later”
