Wild Card Radio - Fetish Fiction and Writers w/Special guest "The Bandito" 7/9 @11pm!
Tonight's Wild Card Radio is going to be a special one, very close to my own heart. As a writer, this is a topic we can really dive into. We'll be discussing fetish fiction and writers, the creative process and the impact of fiction on the fetish world.
Joining us tonight are two very special guests. First up will be Anneke Jacob, author of the novel "As She's Told", winner of the National Leather Association Award for fiction this year. A story of deep personal insight and humanity, this tale explores two people and their world when all fantasy is stripped away. We'll be reading an excerpt from the novel and talking with Anneke about the journey of these characters, the creation of the story and the art of writing in an unorthodox genre. Having had the pleasure of speaking with Anneke, I can say that our listeners are in for a treat from an extremely intelligent and emotional writer.
Then, we are proud to welcome "The Bandito", artist and now writer, the author of the illustrated e-novella "Bounce Chix: Origins". For fans of our show, it is of note that he's also the creator of our own banner girl and mascot, "Penelope". We'll be talking with Bandito about the process of taking something as sub-genre as the tickling fetish and creating a world around it, the development of his long-running characters, and the suspension of disbelief. This will be Bandito's third appearance on our show, and aside from being a dear personal friend, is an extremely funny, insightful and entertaining individual.
Our guests are from polar opposites of the fiction world, one dealing in abject reality, the other in comic-based sci-fi fantasy...but what are the things that all good writers have in common? What makes a good fetish story and how do we approach this often tricky genre? What does it do to us as creative forces, and what exactly are we trying to get across? What advantages do fiction and even art have over video and reality in the fetish world? We'll also be discussing my own work which often splits the difference between the diametrically opposed approaches of our two guests. This is a show any budding fetish writer or fan of fiction will enjoy, so tune in tonight at 11pm as we suspend our disbelief and spend 90 minutes talking kink, creativity and personal expression.
