On last week's show, we began a discussion on some of the darker facets of the BDSM lifestyle and their potential consequences. We had a lot planned and did not get to all of it, so this week is an informal Part 2 of that program.

Last Thursday, we discussed some legal cases involving BDSM in some form or another, which inadvertantly led to some interesting insights into our hosts. Picking up where we left off, tonight's program will focus less on legal cases and "BDSM Gone Wrong" and more on "edgeplay", the consentual but risky types of play some in our lifestyle engage in.

Tonight's show is controversial in nature, with even our two hosts on opposite sides of the fence. However, it is our goal to offer information mixed with a little personal opinion...rather than the other way around. If any subject shows that there's no easy black-and-white in BDSM, this is it, folks.

Basically, I just used the term "edgeplay" (a term favored by my co-host) as an umbrella term for some of the riskier and more intense BDSM activities. Breath control, choking, self-suspension with hooks, actual edgeplay itself (the blade and needle stuff you mentioned) along with the concept of rape fantasies and emotionally edgy play.

Should be a pretty intense show.
