Will "The Avengers" live up to the unbelievable hype?

I'm getting worried......

From what I've seen so far it looks....okay. I'm not like, jumping out of may chair biting my nails to go see it just yet.

I am for Batman The Dark Knight Rises.

The Dark Knight DID live up to the hype, as did Harry Potter part 7.2, (even though it could have been LONGER), The Return of The King.....

The Avengers look too.....clean. Sleek. Boring.

I think most people want to see the Avengers, as a team, all on screen together battling some big foe - I fear it may end up being a bunch of smaller
battles featuring the guys each taking on an individual foe (since the Skrulls are a bunch of aliens.)

I pray and hope I'm wrong...... boy, my number one "waiting for" movie last year was Green Lantern, and it was my biggest disappointment!

The movie's marketing campaign will likely ramp up sometime in the next month or two; right now we've seen very little, but of what we have seen, I cannot fathom what would make you think this movie won't be awesome.

The main selling point for me on "The Avengers" is that Joss Whedon is at the helm. Hopefully he can stay away from the cookie-cutter style superhero action movie.
