Personally can't recommend it for older machines (circa 2002-'03 and older). Slowed the old desktop down to a crawl. Works fine on the mid-2005 laptop though, ...so far.

the hollywood brother still is in the dark ages with media player 10 but it works good enough so the hollywood brother will continue to use it for the time being

I use Media Player Classic, an open-source version of Windows Media Player, free at http://www.free-codecs.com/download/Media_Player_Classic.htm (only a 2.12 MB download) 😀
