Windows Media Player 11

When i open WMP 11,i no longer have a button on the right side to clear the play list.Any ideas on how i reset the player,or what might have happened?

"Clear the play list"? Can you tell me specifically what the missing button does? And, if possible, where it was exactly before it disappeared?

The button was in the upper right hand corner of the player,and it said clear play list.I could click it after playing a clip so it was not saved to the player i assume.Or am i mistaken about its function perhaps.

This all started because i tried to play a clip from TMF,but it would not play and i could not clear it from the player.I unistalled and then reinstalled the player,and thats when the button went away.

Ah, the big red X, yes? That alone has disappeared? That is very odd and, I would think, impossible. What is in its place, just white space?

The red X,yes.And there is a blank space there,but its black rather then white.I dont suppose that should matter though.Tis a puzzlement.

That's ... odd. To say the least even. Tell me, if you click on that black space does it the clear list function still work? I wonder if the button image somehow got meddled with.

I have not tried that,it never occured to me.I shall give it a try.And after thinging about it,there was a small button,a symbol of some kind,in the upper right hand corner of the player.I clicked on it by mistake,and that seems to be when the x went away.Sorry to say i had forgotten about that until now. 😱

If that symbol was a little blue arrow, you just made the list pane disappear and can restore it on the Now Playing page by clicking the arrow directly under Now Playing and clicking on "Show List Pane." In the Library window you have but to click the little blue arrow again.
