#3 & #4 seem to be genuine, i.e. contemporary,

#1 & #2 are presumably illustrations, late 19th century or -more likely- even more recent. Does anybody know anything about #1 and its artist?

Well, while I understand your concern, no-one's yet gone 'Oh totally hawt bro, I'mma go have some me-time to these'. Besides, some of the people who use similar contraptions in bondage/tickling artwork could use these for reference if they wanted to 'get it right', as it were.
