Women like British accents?

Ive been chatting to women online via skype or chatrooms and it seems that most women like the British accent.

Is this true?

I know quite a few women who have admited that a British accent is sexy.

As a gay man, I've found accents sexy as well. For a while I wasn involved with a guy from New Zealand, I loved his kiwi accent.

If you've not caught on yet, Americans of either gender find accents (including British) exotic and attractive. While we can't discern the specifics of region/class/etc like you can, that isn't to say cockney or the like is in. But the dry wit and class of an English accent heats more than one cup of tea on this side of the pond.

In the United States, we have a stereotype that people with English accents sound intellectual and/or sophisticated. Personally, I've begun to find Australian women kinda sexy.

There's a lot of variation in the American accent. Southern is pretty distinct from the others, but my Northern accent is pretty standard. But to a Brit, my area might sound more Canadian than "American."

I'd agree with all of those, but that's a far cry from "most." Most west coast accents are fine, as are most midwestern.
