Words that are now acceptable

I think that the word "Beverage" has become more acceptable. I remember using it back in the 90's and people reacted like it was hyper-technical, but today I hear it used a lot.

Any other words you guys can think of that used to be uncool but are now acceptable?

That four syllable gem was unthinkable when I was a child. It was never heard in any play or film and never printed in any magazine or book outside a pornographic bookstore.
Now, it is quite common to hear even in mixed company.
