Worker At JFK Airport Fired For Accidently E-mailing Pictures Of " Private Parts "

I read a rather, unfortunate incident on the NY news today. A security worker at JFK Airport has been fired for accidently e-mailing pictures of his quote "Private Parts" to his bosses. The article said that even though the person involved has apologized, it did not help to save his job.

Did anyone else hear about this?

Mitchell, was there some aspect of this article you wished to discuss? I'm somewhat puzzled as to the direction of this thread. Usually this kind of story is followed up with some type of discussion topic, such as whether or not the firing was justified, or perhaps this is something that once happened to you or somebody you know? Do you think the firing was sufficient punishment? Or should the man be "shunned?"

No, this is not something that ever happened to me or anyone I know.

As for whether I think the man should have been fired.. my answer to that is I really don't know. He didn't do anything intentionally malicious, like knowingly e-mail someone a picture of his private parts to sexually harass them, which is why I said it was unfortunate. I can see it both ways.. how on one hand the apology should have been sufficient, but on the other.. why he would be fired anyway.

By your asking me if he should be "shunned", if you were derisively referring to my opinion on the Paula Deen matter, let's leave that subject out of this thread, as it is completely off topic with regard to this situation discussed in this thread. .

I don't know man... how the hell do you "accidentally" post these pictures to someone? It could happen, but I would think you'd take the utmost care to not send those to the wrong recipient. It sounds like bullshit to me.
