Hi all ! 🙂
The title asks in fact : what are the countries you have already been to
and those you would like to discover.....at least it suits with the title 🙂.
So those countries have seen me already ( some many times ) : Poland ( easy - i was born in ) - Czech Republic - Germany - France - Spain - Belgium - Netherlands.......most Europe yes.
The ones i would like to go to next time : England - Sweden - Finland - Norway ( snow there that is why ) Russia, South American countries and maybe the US ????

Let me see...

I've been to UK, Ireland, France, Spain, Portugal, Benelux, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Jugoslavia, Romania, Czechia, Slovakia, Poland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland, Russia, Baltic Republics, Egypt, Malta, Crete, Greece...

Oh, and of course Italy.

Think I mentioned them all. 🙂

Reg's!

Italia 😀
Oops i forgot that one completely 🙂 .....hope to go there this year, must be really nice.

*looks behind his shoulder... ya never know...*

Strikes and discontent ppl abound, right now.
We hope things will brighten up...

I've been to Mexico. That's the only foreign coutry I've visited. I've always wanted to take the train across Canada. I've heard that is a very nice trip.
If you travel I believe very highly in trains. For one they can't fall 35,000 feet and for another you actually get to see the country you're traveling through. I've taken all three routs across the USA (northern, middle, and southern) by train and it's an amazing way to see how big (and pretty) this country really is.

That's the "odd" thing about US - from an european point of view: travel 100 miles in Europe, and you're in a different country.

In America, travel 1000 miles, and you're still in America...

Just a thought.

Yes agree with that point of view 🙂
By the way Kalamos even if there are strikes and so on as you said above it must be great nonetheless.
Ciao

Personally, I like northern Europe... but it's just a taste of mine. 🙂

Ciao!

It's true. You could travel forever and only see a small portion of the US. That's what I like so much about traveling by train. Say you went from New York to San Francisco (a trip I've made a few times both by plane and by train). Both take you over 3,000 miles.
On a plane the trip is over in 5 or 6 hours. You see nothing but spotty landscapes, couds, and really bad airplane food.
On a train you see EVERYTHING and some spots that are not accesable by anything but the railroad. Granted the trip takes a few days and depending on your route you do have to cover the great nothing-to-see-whatsoever states of Montana and Nevada...but Colorado in the winter is something to behold and train food won't make you reach for your sickie bag. 😛

America by train? Thought of boarding the "modern" Orient Express and doing that to Istanbul... but, America by train sounds great.

Should think about it. 🙂
Tnx and reg's.

I have seen video of a train called the American Orient Express which tavels through a part of the western U.S.. It's like a super luxery train totally restored from classic rail cars. Looks really neat. 😀
I plan to go to Europe one day and I can't imagine traveling around by plane and not getting to see a place I traveled thousands of miles to see. Just doesnt make sense. 😛

I've traveled to Chile, Uruguay and Argentina, all on South-America. I traveled by plane from Venezuela until Chile and after by Bus from chile until Argentina and from it into Uruaguay. Very nice trip !!!:happy::happy::happy::happy:.

I've been to a few countries because my great grammy was very wealthy, and I was raised by her 'til she passed. I have been to England of course; Austria, France, Spain, Ireland, Sweden, and Sydney Austrailia.
