My nan is 101 years old, I know she'll go one day, maybe even soon, I just hope she's alive for the holidays.

I remember when Jeanne Calment, the oldest person ever, died back in 1997; she was six years older than Ms Cooper. It really brings home exactly how tough and strong the human spirit and body can be! To live to the age of 116 is remarkable.

I have no desire to live that long. 70 years is plenty in this world, but 100 is too much for my tastes.

I'm torn on the issue of how long I'd want to live.

On one hand, I'm only twenty, and I'm already tired of the world's crap.
On the other, it's sad that I won't be able to watch our species advance farther than what was available in my time. Particularly since we're so hindered by certain... distractions.

Needless to say, however, I think 116 is a bit longer than I'd want to be fartin' around.
