I was thinking of having a lapel pin made (two feathers, crossed like swords) that could identify ticklers and ticklees to each other. I silent recognition if you like.

Would anyone be interested I purchasing such an item? I'm asking the question before I get them made to see if there is interest in such a thing.

Your thoughts.

The whole "secret emblem" idea has been passed around before. People didn't seem to favour feathers -either because they're too obvious, or too unoriginal.

I think you should do something less cliché like feathers, and something that more people would want to wear in public.

Like a kangaroo with the words TK on it somewhere. Sure, TK can stand for tickling, but if the other person doesn't know about it and is just inquiring, you can be all, "Yup, that's my Trusty Kangaroo. Really brightens up an otherwise dark and dreary afternoon talking to strangers."

I thought we already had a community "symbol" all worked out??? Why not make it like that?

peace out,
daddy

NEST has similar pins available to all attendees.

That being said, no, I would not be interested in such a pin.

Sorry, but I think "Trusty Kangaroo" is the best thing that is ever going to come out of the TMF.

I was thinking of an everyday pin, not just for gatherings. And a kangaroo, why? Feet are to obvious and so I chose feathers as you could also say you're a writer, to keep your tickling interest from those who don't understand. Those who are lers and lees would recognise its significance.

What would be the point in having an everyday pin though? So if you happen to see someone walking down the street with a matching pin and go
and start a conversation about tickling with them? Seems highly unlikely that you would even stumble across a fellow TMFer. (especially in BC)

I can understand a pin thing at a gathering like NEST, but otherwise it just seems like a waste of time.

Just like this thread .

😀

that's seriously brilliant 😀

but anyways, we've had this debate before about logo's and such, eventually resulting in a patch on Cavum's jacket.

My biggest issue with a pin is that I don't wear pins, and I can't see myself remembering to take it off every night and put it on every morning. Not to mention I think feathers are fairly ugly in terms of everyday accessories. Once in awhile, kmaybe, but every day? Do not want.
