Wrestlemania 19...

Okay, fine:

Rock vs. Stone Cold: Probably Austin, given that the Rock has another movie to promote. I'd rather have it the other way -- the Rock's been terrific since he came back, while Austin has just been the same as he's been since 1998.

Hogan vs. McMahon: Yeah, like Hogan's retiring.

Lesnar vs. Angle: This is gonna be like Austin vs. HBK at WM 14 (well, except that Kurt didn't have to be threatened into doing the match the way Shawn reportedly did). It's obvious Lesnar will win, but I'm just going to be hoping that Kurt doesn't screw himself up too badly. Bad enough that he's going to be missing a year after this ...

Booker T vs. Triple H: If Booker does not go over cleanly here, then Triple H and the entire McMahon family are insane.

HBK vs. Jericho: Jericho better win this one. There's no point in him losing to a guy who wrestles only every other month.

Taker and Jones vs. Show and A-Train: Boy, is this one going to be horrible. I'll bet on Taker and Jones.

Tag team triple threat: Rhyno and Benoit are better as singles wrestlers, and Los Guerreros just had the titles. Let Team Angle keep them a little longer.

Hardy vs. Mysterio: I'm hoping Mattitude pulls out a win here to keep the feud going -- it's been fun so far.

Women's triple threat: Time for Trish to get the title back.

RVD and Kane vs. Morley and Storm: Morley and Storm retain so the Dudley Boyz can go after them.

ah, Wrestlemania.....the SuperBowl of wrestling..i am looking forward to this one. it seems all of the matches have some kind of intrigue. here are my predictions:

Rock vs Austin: this is going to be a GREAT match. i will be pulling for the Rock, because dammit, he's hilarious. i think Austin will win, but dont be surprised if the Rock wins. i got this bet with this one girl at work that Rock will win....

Hogan vs McMahon: if Hulk loses this, i may stop watching wrestling. HULKAMANIA RULES!!!!

Angle vs Lesnar: Brock will win because Angle has to have surgery, but this will be a phenomenal match. Angle is one hell of a performer and expect them both to put on a great show....

Triple H vs Booker T: i think the game will win. a major bad guy has to win one of the major 4 matches. should be a good match though.

Storm/Val Venis vs Kane/RVD: this should be a great match. but i think Storm and Val will win, like Shem said, to give the Dudleys a chance to win.

Team Angle vs Benoit/Rhyno vs Los Guerreros: this will be a great match. all three teams can put on a show. i think the Guerreros will win though.

Michaels vs Jericho: Michaels will win due to his wrestling days are nearly over

Undertaker/Jones vs Big Show/A-train: i think Nathan Jones will turn on the Undertaker to start a new fued.

Mysterio vs Hardy: this will be a high flying match and Rey will win. this will be a classic match.

Trish vs Victoria vs Jazz: the bitch is back!! Jazz will win the title. she is supposed to be a force, so she will get the strap.

i think this Wrestlemania will be great due to match quality. hey, i have a question, what do you think was the best Wrestlemania so far to date?? this is a hard one because there were several great ones. anybody got ideas?

Rock will most likely beat Austin for two reasons, first because Austin won their last two Mania matches, and secondly because Goldberg has signed with the WWE, and he is slated to face Rock at the next PPV. They will want Rock to have momentum going into this match.
BookerT SHOULD beat HHH, but probably won't. The reason I say this is because Booker pinned H on TV last Monday. From my years of watching wrestling I have learned that whenever two guys are slated to meet at Mania, and one of them pins the other on TV a week before the PPV, the guy who won on TV will lose at the PPV. Look at last year with Rock and Hogan. Hogan pinned Rock in the tag match, then a week later Rock won the match at mania. If you go back through wrestling history you will find many other similiar examples.
You don't need years of wrestling viewership under your belt to know that Nathan Jones will eventually turn on the Undertaker, but I don't think it will happen as soon as Mania. They will milk it for a few more weeks. I think that Undertaker's biker gimmick has had it's run, and they should have all of the heels beat him down and kill him, only to have him rise again as the original Undertaker. Paul Bearer could come out with the urn and have him rise up. Not likely though.
It would make sense to have Jericho go over the older Michaels, but again, they probably won't. My sources indicate that Michael's will eventually team with the returning Nash who will be returning to his Diesel persona.
Wether Hardy or Mysterio wins, they will continue feuding either way, especially if their Mania match is good. Either this match or the Jericho/Michaels match will be the match of the evening, with the exception of Hogan vs Vince, which will be an alltime classic. It won't be classic as far as ring athleticism, but it will be an over the top cartoonish extravaganza, and Hogan/Vince should run at least 20 minutes, with both men bleeding like pigs.

Rock vs. Stone Cold As much as I'd like to see Rock win, I agree with Shem's assessment. Austin will get it since Rock has more movie bus. coming up.

Hogan vs. McMahon Actually, I think McMahon will win. Hogan has been back and forth because of his back problems. You KNOW he won't completely honor the agreement...esp. if McMahon cheats. This would give him an out to allow his body to heal while not closing the door completely.

Lesnar vs. Angle Lesnar will win, if only because Kurt needs neck surgery. I'm guessing they'll have something happen in this to set up a rematch once Kurt is healthy.

Booker T vs. Triple H Book BETTER win this one! Tripple H is getting to be a bore. Besides, they wouldn't have split up Book and Goldie unless they planned to do something with one of them.

HBK vs. Jericho I'd rather see HBK take this one, but expect that Y2J will. HBK isn't healthy enough to wrestle on a weekly basis.

Taker and Jones vs. Show and A-Train I'm expecting this to be ugly. I'm pulling for Taker and Jones. I don't particularly like either Show or A-Train in their present character roles.

Tag team triple threat Guerreros will probably win. I don't think Team Angle is mature enough to retain the title. While I like Benoit, I don't think he and Rhyno make a great team.

Hardy vs. Mysterio I'd rather see Mysterio win this one so there's more of a chance of putting the Hardy boys back together. I think they were much better as a tag team.

Women's triple threat I'll go for Trish here simply because I like her best of the three...though I think Jazz is the best athlete of the three.

RVD and Kane vs. Morley and Storm I hope RVD & Kane kick butt in this one. I don't like the other two.

Ann

Well, seven out of ten for me ... not bad. Would have been eight out of ten if there were any justice in the world, but ...

RVD and Kane vs. Morley and Storm: Eh. Just a match. Kane doing a slingshot crossbody out of the ring was cool, but otherwise, nothing particularly surprising or outstanding.

Mysterio vs. Hardy: Five minutes?! A four-hour show and all they could find to give these guys was five flaming minutes?! It was a hot match, but criminally short. Please let them get at least ten minutes at Backlash!

Taker vs. Show/A-Train: Not as bad as feared; Undertaker can still go if he wants to put in the effort, and he made up for Show and Train's deficiencies. But what does it say about Nathan Jones that they STILL won't let him wrestle?

Trish vs. Victoria vs. Jazz: Good match, with all three women on their game and working hard.

Los Guerreros vs. Team Angle vs. Benoit/Rhyno: Good stuff, but I was really expecting better given who was in the ring.

Catfight! Catfight! Catfight!: Okaaaaaay. The women were cute and all, but I stopped being a horny 13-year-old long ago. Moving right along ...

HBK vs. Jericho: Match of the night, as far as I'm concerned, even though the wrong guy won.

Booker T vs. Triple H: As some of you may know, I very rarely bother with curse words. That said, fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck. So instead of building up a new face on Raw, we can "look forward" to Triple H/Goldberg or even worse, Triple H/Kevin Nash, for Backlash. At least Triple H finally had a good match with someone not named Shawn Michaels. Still -- he takes the axe kick, he takes the Houston Hangover, and he STILL beats Booker clean? I guess it's true what he said -- people like Booker don't win titles. That should make WWE's Klansman audience happy.

Hogan vs. McMahon: Not quite up to the standard set by Shane vs. Vince two years ago, but a good brawl, and the Rowdy Roddy Piper run-in was good for a laugh. I retract that if Piper actually starts wrestling again, though.

Rock vs. Austin: Much better than I'd expected, given Austin's dubious condition. Not much different from any other Rock/Austin match from 1999 on, but that's not necessarily a bad thing -- they always work well together.

Lesnar vs. Angle: Holy Goddess. Was that Shooting Star Press sickening or what? If Lesnar doesn't have a concussion, it's a miracle. And for a guy who might be on his last match, Angle didn't seem to have lost a step -- he was still bumping all over the place and even taking German suplexes. If this one is Angle's last (and I hope it's not), at least he's going out on a high note.

Yep match of night had to be HBK and Jericho I also want to say im sick and tired of HHH not putting over wrestlers hes a damned glory hound. Booker derserved it tonight but HHH just cant pass the torch can he? Props to austin for giving rock is derserving win clean and fair. say whens the last time Austin lost without interference or etc..? props to austin fro doing the right thing. Brock Lesnar and Angle HUGE PROPS too badd he dint hit that shooting star though 🙁

It was on during Sunday Night Heat. I guess they wanted to start early or something. They also had a REALLY bad rap by John Cena and the beginning of the Hardy/Mysterio match during Heat.

As for being bored, while the outcomes weren't all what I'd have liked to see, I thought there were some decent matches. The one I least enjoyed was Vince and Hulk. If they can't sell things, they shouldn't be in there.

Lesner was Hurt Big

Acording to the LAW (www.liveaudiowrestling.com) a radio show here in Toronto, there was an ambulenc leaving the arena and that Brock was rumored to be in it. The hand shake and hug in the main even was beleaved to be Angle asking Brock if he was OK, it also looked realy cool and builds up Kurt face a Face return.

When Hunter said "people like you don't beat people like me" it might have seemed to be because Booker-T is black, but it was realy because he isn't balling the boss's daughter. Booker is better then Hunter, that WCW title that HHH carries with him hasn't ment a damb thing sence the Rock won it from the Player, and it won't mean a damb thing untill Booker win's it back. I don't know why the guys don't just refused to work with him. If nobody will work with HHH then maybe Vince would wake up.

Y2J should have gone over HBK, he is burned out and can't go, even on a monthly basis. I wqas glad Austin lost to the Rock I had hopped Steve McMicheal would show up and kick the crap out of him (for real). The cruiser weight and tag team tittle match were to short because of that Miller light girl crap. The match that most impressed me was the 3 way dance for the Women's title. Jazz, Victoria, and Trish realy raised the barr for women's wrestling in the WWE, I think it's getting close to giving them there own show. Keep trish defending the women's title on Raw and have all women's matches on a recap show.

ah, Wrestlemania 19 has come and gone..it wasnt the best i have ever seen, but i thought it was still entertaining. some random thoughts..

Triple H vs Booker T: i knew Triple H was going to win, mainly to set up Austin vs Triple H. plus when Booker T pinned Triple H on the previous Raw, that pretty much let everyone know "The Game" would win. i still believe Booker T will be a world champion one day. plus, is Triple H still alive after Booker landed that move off the top rope? he landed on Triple H's head. ow........

Rock vs Austin: i LOVED this match. Rock is one hell of an entertainer. him and Austin work very well together. i am suprised that Rock beat him cleanly though. i am going to enjoy laughing at this one girl at work who just loves Austin.

Angle vs Lesnar: good match, but i expected more. Angle kicking out of the F-5 was interesting, but when Brock missed that flip off the top rope, we all thought he was dead. Angle was WAY to far away for him to try that move. looks like he got caught up in the Wrestlemania emotion, trying to create a memory. yeah, we will remember that for a while. but much love has to go to Angle. i always found him to be on eof the most gifted, most charismatic wrestlers around. it will be sad to see him gone for a year, but i hope he recovers well and gets back to action. tell me you wont miss him responding in his manner whenever the crowd yells "What?" Angle is the MAN.

Hogan vs McMahon: exactly what i expected. what did people expect? a great match involving actual wrestling moves? c'mon, Hogan is 49 and McMahon is like 57 or so. for them to even go out there is amazing. but you do have to admit, when McMahon nailed Hogan with a legdrop off the ladder, it was pretty funny. also, remember when McMahon first got that lead pipe, then you see the camera angle show his bloody face as it slowly rose above the ring apron with that evil smile? that was a GREAT camera shot, great direction, just well done!! i am into video producing, directing and performing. that was one hell of a shot. also, when Hogan nailed that Spanish announcer, was that part of the plan. we couldnt stop laughing off that. but i felt that surge of Hulkamania when he "Hulked up". that was vintage Hogan. the only thing that sucks about Hogan is his ring entrance music. he REALLY needs to bring back "Real American". i think it would have been appropriate.

the Catfight girls: you darn well knew nothing was really going to happen. in order to have some kind of physical action, they had to bring in women who have experience, Stacy and Torrie. the Catfight girls are actresses. anyway, it was stupid and seeing the coach in his "tighty whities" wasnt a moment we want to remember.

Michaels vs Jericho: great match. Michaels isnt a good as he was, but he can still perform. i wanted to see "sweet chin music" but oh well. Jericho and Michaels work well together. i hope they continue the fued.

Mysterio vs Hardy: i agree. that was SHORT!!! i was really looking forward to that match, and it was quick. oh well, the life of the cruiserweights....

Trish vs Jazz vs Victoria: amusing match. i like women's wrestling and this match was pretty good. i thought Jazz would win, but hey, cant complain about Trish....

Benoit/Rhyno vs Los Guerreros vs Team Angle: good match, but triple threat tag matches are always difficult. the athleticism was great and i was upset to see team Angle win....

Undertaker vs Big Show/A-train: after getting a little fired up afer hearing "rollin, rollin rollin" by Limp Bizkit, the match itself was "okay". the Undertaker is still a phenom, but i REALLY want him to go back to the deadman gimmick. this biker thing is boring.

Wrestlemania 19 was okay. could have been a better, but i still found it quite entertaining. now that Goldberg is there, let's see how this affects things.

We watched the scene several times...both the landing and his actions and expressions after it. He seemed pretty tentative with the jump to start and that tension is likely what caused him to pull up short and overrotate. It was VERY obvious that there was something wrong after he hit. I was surprised that he was able to finish the match.

Once the match was over, the ref came over to Kurt and said something about helping him out (I couldn't read it all.) Kurt responded okay and then went over to Brock. They did a good job of making it look like a part of the plan. But, it was obvious that there was a problem. Kurt was asking him something to which he responded, "I'm not sure." Even if it was just a stinger, it's best that he get things checked out. Head and neck injuries are too serious to gloss over. His eyes were very glassy at the end of the match. He even looked scared at one point. I'm sure we'll hear more tonight.
