Writing on the foot

I just found this...

Here was the writing with it - There's a great young Iranian female photographer named Shirin Neshat who shoots lots of stuff of Iranian women of the revolution. They can't show their faces, but they can show their feet, so they frequently do elaborate writings and other decoration of the soles of their feet during idle times, apparently. Here's one such image, called WOMEN OF ALLAH -- it's a fervent young revolutionary chick who endured ticklish pentip to spread the good word! From a 1994 article in the NEW YORK TIMES. Iranian girls are hot! I've known my share. Too bad there's no face, but it'd just be a veil anyway ...

From what I've read about this famous photograph, the writing on the woman (and other's of Shirin Neshat - hands, feet, etc.) is done on the photo, after it is taken. Also, women can show their faces in Iran.

Yeah, I know they can't show their hair. I just put down the caption that went with the photogragh. My neighbour is from Iran and aparantly its illegal to drink or listen to music and dance. It seems pretty gay.
