The epic saga continues! The Agencies is now 11 years old, if you can believe it, and set to release the 21st issue of the series. The series has introduced dozens of characters, provided a rather significant backstory and connection among the characters, endured the death of one of its main characters, and produced hundreds of pages of amazing tickling artwork. Not bad for a single comic line.

This issue leads up to the shocking climax to this story arc. The last major story arc the series had dealt with Yin and Yang's jealousy of Succubus and their eventual plans for revenge, ultimately leading to her death in their cruel hands. This major story arc focuses on both Karma's revolution...her plan to upend the Agency and end of patriarchal system pervading the power structure; the other major story arc focuses on Tiffany's flight from Karma's eager clutches. This issue ends one of those major story arcs, and sets up the next issue to deal with the other.

The cover shows Agent Deadline, partially nude and exposed before Lucy (holding the feather) and Yang (observing in the background).

This pinup shows Tiffany in a nice dress, dark nylons, accompanied with a little tiara. She truly is a little princess. Tiffany is quickly becoming a fan favorite and I hope you like the character, too.

This image shows the progression in a comic between storyboards (top), inks (middle) and lettered colors (bottom). This scene shows Yang's relative disdain for Karma's organization. To Yang, survival is its own chore and she doesn't appreciate lesser beings getting in the way of things with egos and agendas. She berates Lucy here for her unwillingness to roll up her sleeves and get the job done. At this point, Yang wasn't present at Boss Kazazumi's headquarter when Karma ordered a hit on their entire organization (The Agencies #14). She doesn't know they were responsible for assassinating her boss, mentor, and father figure. Only Yin, her twin, knows this.

And what is Yang doing off panel? Just super cool villain stuff.

There was a short scene at the end of The Agencies #19 where Kedrick (aka Agent Spectre) grabs Miss Rachel Ghost (aka Agent Ghost) by the hand to do a special mission. Well, at the beginning of The Agencies #21, we figure out what they're up to. He wants to infiltrate Karma's network and locate their attack plans and secret weapon so they can relay the information back to Agency HQ.

This shows the dynamic duo in action.

And it's another reason to showcase Miss Rachel Ghost in her sheer catsuit.

Here is page 1 of The Agencies #21.

We open the issue on the continuation of the attack on Agency HQ by Karma's forces. The attack is temporarily thwarted as Miss Rachel Ghost (Agent Ghost) and Kedrick (Agent Spectre) have compromised Karma's network, accessed her attack plans, and forwarded its weakness to Agent Deadline, still defending the Agency. After Agent Deadline releases defensive drones to slaughter Karma's troops, she is subsequently captured by Lucy. Lucy, receiving word that the attack might actually fail unless the drones are turned off, turns her sights on Agent Deadline.

All hope of the Agency's survival now rests on this perky blond cheerleader's shoulders to resist Lucy's impromptu interrogation.

 

[Sinister-Lurker]

Fantasies have a sort of gravity to them. It's quite often that as we consider one, another is attracted to it in our minds and the pair inevitably collide and fuse, which may then beget still other fantasies being pulled in. These sorts of combinations are writ large in this issue of The Agencies. Witness the beautiful Asian assassin, revenge-tickled by her twin. See the blonde cheerleader tickled senseless. These wonderful permutation of fantasies, and others besides, are all strung together here.

Once again, the artwork on this flagship title is amazing, across the spectrum. Lines, inks, colors, words; all are a beauty to behold. Perhaps, but not quite, rivaling the beautiful women portrayed throughout this issue! It's a real treat for fans of tickle torture along multiple points of interest!
