Movie was well done. The story line kept you in suspense one what was gonna happen. Loved pretty much everything, the fighting scene's were awesome, and they brought back a few characters too which made it more interesting. So, definitely go see it

I agree was very well done and it isn't like x-2 and x-3 where your like just call it wolverine and the xmen. wolverine takes a back seat and you get to see alot of other mutants shine. ohh and stay after the credits ^-^

I liked it a lot, had some nice cameos from a lot of characters that made me happy and the plot was interesting. The best thing about it was that **SPOILERS** it basically erased the last stand. I just hope the next one with apocalypse will be as good

It was decent but I was a bit chaffed when they revealed Emma Frost got captured and killed via experimentation by Trask. Of course, I feel they did her character and costume completely wrong in Last Stand so eh, whatever. Also, while they Sentinels were indeed fearsome, they weren't what I was really hoping for. Still, it was a decent movie.

I think the ones when they used raven's dna were more fearsome then the ones magneto used

They were but imagine the ones Magneto hijacked being eighteen stories tall, with energy blasters in their hands, concealed missile launchers in their shoulders, and the ability to launch out and control metallic tentacles that could grasp / tear apart a normal human like they made of playdo! Basically walking, talking, weapons platforms designed to butcher mutants and humans alike!

I was hoping for the more comic-bookish type of Sentinel. Instead we got something less impressive but no less fearsome. Eh, it was still a decent movie.

I will give the movie's creators credit for inventing a particularly fearsome version of the Sentinels (ones that could copy a mutant's powers and use it against them). They must have been made of some sort of bio-mechanical substance (part synthetic, part organic). That's the only way I can imagine them utilizing a mutant's X-Gene.

What I can't figure out however is how Mystique's power to copy other people's appearances ended up being altered / modified to copy other mutant's powers. I'm guessing they must have captured / experimented on other mutants as well (maybe that's where Stryker's work came into play [aka continuing the work Trask left off]). Still, now we have a new timeline where Jean is alive and is either more emotionally stable (or in complete control of the phoenix). Unfortunately Emma is still DEAD dammit (grumble)!

The beauty of fiction is that you need only explain about 80% of it, and the rest is all freebie.

I really like the route they went with the sentinels, in that they all felt like an interpretation of the Nimrod sentinel.

But I feel like none of the action scenes were really fights. All of them seemed very one-sided, regardless of the winning party.

Regardless, great set-up for Age of Apocalypse!

And let it be known that I absolutely LOATHE Fox for standing in the way of all the good that could be done if Marvel were to regain the licensing to the franchise. I just really wanna see Chris Evans and Hugh Jackman fighting on the same screen - _ -

There were a few story holes that I felt didn't hold up with the rest of series. That kind of irked me a bit. But I'd still give it a B+

like what?

Just a shot in the dark but one might be that Xavier was alive again and even had his original body back (even after Jean charbroiled him and Scott in the first fifteen minutes of Last Stand [which still chaffs my butt]. They kinda left that up in the air and never really explained how Charles got his body back (even though at the end of last Stand Charles spoke to Moria McTagart through a comatose person).

It's a good movie but there are a number of inconsistencies & plot holes, like the one mentioned by Ms. Sox. Still, I enjoyed it. The new Sentinels (the ones that are adaptive) were pretty cool and I liked that Raven actually had a significant role this time around instead of simply being eye candy/fan service.

I think with him being the most powerfull telepath in the world he can project his physical appearance on everyone's mind while in fact he looks like the comatose person. At least that's what i hope the explanation is

Either that or Moria McTaggart found a way to clone Xavier a new body so he could transfer his consciousness into it.

I was also kind of surprised that they linked Charles's partial paralysis to his mutant power. Not exactly following the comics there but still an intriguing take on it.

I just can't get over, 'You're on a bad acid trip.' Favourite line. 😀
And yes, as for the Sentinels, I was expecting the more 90's cartoon-rendition but, while 'physically' far less superior/intimidating, they make up for it with a more inventive style of mutant eradication.

That and Quicksilver making complete and utter FOOLS out of the cops at the Pentagon, all the while a song playing in the background. ^_~

I will admit it, they were fearsome and DID seem to get the job done. In fact, I think their ability to mimic mutant powers was something a particular type of Sentinel in the comics had (Nimrod I believe).

Just finished seeing it.

Holy

Shit

Yes.

Anyone who's ever heard me rant about The Last Stand knows what I'm gonna say here. They made it so TLS never happened-and that's exactly what they needed to do. Jean, the Prof, and Scott-especially Scott-dying was just...totally unacceptable. The fact that everything I ranted about is just...not so is exactly what I was hoping for.

Piotr was Russian, which was good-I believe in the last movie they gave him an Ameri an accent, which grated.

Pixie's wing behind the glass like that T_T I seriously nearly cried in the theater.

Pietro's scene (can't bring myself to call him Pete 😛) was epic. I'm glad they gave a nod to the fact that Eric is his father too, cuz that kinda grated on me til they mentioned it.

Also, I noticed no Kurt in the last scene, where they showcased that everyone was alive. Did they not meet him due to the changes that happened? Does this mean they have the chance to fix his bloody character when they do meet?

And...dat after-credits scene scares the crap outta me >_<

If you mean Nightcrawler, they didn't include him or the Sentinels we all know and love in X-Men: Last Stand because they wanted them both to be featured solely in a video game and that's it. That's what pissed me off about Last Stand, that and them killing Patrick Stewart in the first fifteen minutes. Last Stand was fucking abysmal and it was all due to them wanting to maximize their profits by fucking with hardcore fans.

Yes...Apocalypse...who had better NOT BE a scrawny little kid in a robe when we see him in the next movie (grumble). Where's Wil Wheaton when we NEED HIM?

I just hope against hope that they don't make Apocalypse a mutant like they did with Juggernaut, but I really don't see them NOT doing it either.

I thought Apocalypse was the First Mutant? :/ And I know that Juggernaut has Cyttorak's helmet which lends to his powers, but I thought Cain Marco was a mutant in his own right as well

Indeed, I thought he was a mutant too. Though I think the title of "First Mutant" is a title he gave himself as it's been revealed in the comics that there are even older mutants (including Selena [who replaced Dark Phoenix as Hellfire Club's Black Queen]) who have supposedly been around since the Hyborian Age (aka when Conan, Red Sonja, and Thalsa Doom lived).

I know that Juggernaut has Cyttorak's helmet which lends to his powers, but I thought Cain Marco was a mutant in his own right as well.

I think Cain's original back story had him as a non-mutant who was the son of the man who adopted Charles Xavier after Charles's parents were mysteriously murdered (Charles later finds out the murderer was Cain's father who was insanely jealous of his best friend). Cain was, himself, neglected and outright abused by his father and ended up inadvertently getting revenge for years of hell by causing his father's death via laboratory accident. Cain and Xavier then were supposed to be drafted in Vietnam and during a battle Cain is called by a "voice", deserts (with Xavier in pursuit), and both of them stumble upon a forgotten, ruined temple dedicated to Cyttorak. Cain then pledges himself to Cyttorak via a huge crimson gemstone he and Charles discover in the temple in order to become, "a living juggernaut". If the comics have since retconned him to indeed be a mutant (whose powers have been amplified by Cyttorak) then I have no real issue with that.

Thanks for the clarification, Rox! Sounds all good on the Apocolypse front-as for Juggernaut, I started reading after Marco lost the helmet do am not 100% up on it.
