Yahoo feels offended by my e-mail addy!

I just wanted to add my e-mail addy to the description of my yahoo group to enable my members to contact me. But yahoo blocks it automatically, giving the error message: "Yahoo doesn't allow profane language in a group description." Now I'm asking you: What's so profane about my addy? 😕 [email protected]

I agree, that is just BS! I see nothing profane in your e-mail address Hal. Did you try to contact them and ask? I never heard of such nosense!

It can't be the word "tickling", as yahoo has already accepted that in the description earlier. Can it be some letter combination in my addy that hits their filter? Any computer crack who has an idea? I'd prefer not to email them because of the "ticklish" (pun intended) content of my group. The less official attention drawn to it, the better.

By logical elimination it can't be hal, you said it can't be tickling, it can't be the .de, and it can't be the @. So it must be the t-online. Somehow they are reading something nasty maybe into the t-online? Just a guess but it seems the only thing that makes sense. Hope this helps.

It may actually be a glitch, Hal. When we still had our groups, I tried to add the statement that we didn't allow anything profane or underage. I got the same message that you did. I suspect that they have some trigger words set. But, I can't imagine why tickling would be one of them.

because my Yahoo e-mail has tickle in it and i never had a problem.
