My new documentary: "Yaqi's World of Tickling" just won the coveted Bronze Remi Award in the 2002 Worldfest Film Festival, the largest film festival in the world.
I was competing against more than 4,300 international entries from over 30 countries. Apparantly tickling intriqued the judges more than anything The Discovery Channel, The History Channel, TLC, and CNN could churn out!
WorldFest began in August 1961 as a film society, and became an international competitive film festival in April 1968. It is the 3rd oldest film festival in North America, and the longest running under the very same management team. They boast giving awards to Spielberg, Lucas, David Lynch, The Coen Brothers, Ang Lee, Ridley Scott, Michael Cimino, Steve Poster, Robert Rodriguez, Robert Townsend, and many many more.
