Totally non-tickling here. But I suppose the seconds following could involve lots of it.

While yes, I should be working on Cult of Avo'Dromus, this is necessary practice before I get into chapter two real deeply. I needed some practice at drawing new poses and at drawing feet.

Callonde doesn't wear shoes, so I picked her to volunteer for this picture.

Tempting (nearly irresistible!) toes and girlish blush not withstanding, I'm hesitant to become too terribly forward with Callonde as long as that blade's within such easy reach! Foreshortening is excellent (not at all cursed with the "disjointed" feel sometimes attending forced perspective in limbs). Her grassy seating is comfortably luxurious, the silver-rimmed clouds soft and welcoming (with nearly a pillowy downiness), colors gentle, the lady's demeanor open and shyly friendly... everything well calculated to ease the viewer into eager fingertip exploration! If only that confounded sword hilt was a little further away! Awww, what the hell... that's why we have two hands, after all!

Fine preparation indeed for the ongoing Avo'Dromus mystery! Hope to see the second installment very, very soon!

Woo! Sounds like I'm definitely getting something right. n_n;; Hehe. You paid attention to the background, which as an artist is to be expected. Though I made the joke over at DA that I figured no one would look, it's still nice to hear that it actually makes the picture more appealling overall. And I wouldn't worry about the sword too much. Even the best warrior can't fight well if they're laughing hard enough.

As for Chapter 2, I plan to start into the sketches for each page hot and heavy sometime this month. I've just got a few commitments to finish and I'm solid.
