In Yelena #1, we wanted to establish the relationship between Yelena and Gretchen a bit more. Yelena is a very old witch that has used magic to render herself immortal. She has lived many centuries, and has had many adventures in that time. But now, with Yelena #1, the story takes place in the modern day, where she's fallen in love with Gretchen, an international supermodel she met on a set. The two hit it off famously, and Yelena kidnaps her lover in broad daylight in order to subject her to all manner of fun activities back at her apartment.
Yelena #2 continues the story with Yelena and Gretchen falling for each other even more. The two travel to LA, where they meet up with Kirsta, an old friend of Gretchen's from childhood. Little do they know Kirsta has some ticklish secrets of their own, and the three share a wonderful girls' night out.
Yelena #3 starts with Gretchen and Kirsta discussing Gretchen's relationship with Yelena. From there, a chain of events occur that eventually grab the attention of the notorious Witch Hunters.
So who are the Witch Hunters? They are a band of men that made a pact with Lucifer to hunt down the last of the witches in return for glory and power. They have hunted Yelena for centuries, with no success. They are constantly monitoring for magical energies to appear somewhere on Earth so they can finally take out Yelena and claim their prize. But through an accident, the Witch Hunters grab the wrong people, who pay dearly for the Witch Hunters' mistake. Readers will get to see some of the Witch Hunters in action for the first time, so that will be fun.
The first attachment here shoes Britney being lead down to the dungeons by the Witch Hunters. The initial drawing is the sketch of the scene, while the second is the colorized version (low resolution).
