I'm not suprised they changed it a little bit. To be honest they could'nt have used the same origin of Banner's problem because no-one has tested nuke missiles outdoors for decades. (Except for the French of course, but they're sub-human anyway, so they don't count. 😛) I guess the new plot will deal with some sort of reactor accident. (I bet they used Neutron as a movie consultant there, that guy has a lot of friends you know! 😀)
