I know some will disagree, but in my opinion, through my perception, there is is something special about my fellow ticklephiles. Whether we call our condition a curse, a gift, a fetish, an interest, or whatever, the fact that you all have it too makes me feel connected.

I've been to a gathering and a munch, and met some great people (insert shameless plug for chicago area munch and play party http://www.ticklingforum.com/showth...agoland-Tickling-Munch-amp-Play-Party-11-5-16 ). Had good conversations that were mostly normal, non tickling related plus shared some great tickling stories.

I guess I just wanted to say, thanks to everyone on here who makes this forum great, all the people who've replied to, or sent me PM's and the lurkers who should think about joining the forum and interacting with the community. And of course TMF Jeff, Myriads, and HisDivineShadow who make it all happen.

I feel the same way... I may not know anyone hardly... but I feel like we are intrinsically connected... and I have a deep respect and caring for everyone here. Tickling is special and adds something so unique, fun, and sexy to our lives. Sometimes when I see what people post... I look forward to seeing their signatures too... it's like we're our own Marvel Universe. And we all have this superpower that... like the X-Men.. some won't understand. Some will. But "the humans" may not always understand us... but we still have each other.
 
I beg to differ good sir...I am most certainly not a unicorn...I am clearly a bat pony...😉

I just like the idea of being around people that grew up with the same stuff going on in their heads as me. You guys understand a part of me better than even my own wife ever will.
 
Yes, I am unique. Just like everybody else, they are also unique. :rowfull:

I totally agree Rectangle! My first NEST was in May, and it was such a wonderful experience, I actually cried a little on my way home. Being able to share experiences with people who understand and had similar moments in life was just so cathartic. I can't wait to go back, and I hope to see you there! If, like me, you predate the internet, you probably remember a time when you felt totally alone in this, like you were the only one.

That really hit home. I also remember feeling like I was the only one. Every year I see the invitation to NEST or another gathering and I imagine myself going to the next one, then the one after that, and after that... for the exact same reasons that you just mentioned - to share with people who understand. I'm glad you had such a awesome experience.

As long as you're a mythical creature, preferably with at least one horn. I don't know how effectively he can tickle with those 3 fingered paws though. Always good to hear from you my friend!
