I'm not sure if anyone else here is as nerdy as me, but I thought that this was too cool to not post. It is an accurate (scale) model of the size of our solar system. It is amazing just how tiny and far apart everything is!

Wow, that's neat. 😀 I'm reading Bill Bryson's "A Short History of Nearly Everything" right now, and he talks a lot about this sort of thing. I was holding the scroll button for ages and the bar didn't move a single pixel. >_< (That either means that the universe is huge, or my mouse button is broken)

let me tell you something brother. you are only as small or as big as your mind allows you to be. Take the hollywood brother. The hollywood brother is a small man with a crap job that no one will care when the hits the glue factory. however on here wit hthe millions and millions of the adoring hollywood brother fans, he is as big as a king and will live forever right up there with the all tiem great posters of this site.

Now if you want to get technical then yes the hollywood brother is very small in the grand scheme of things but someday when the hollywood brother is old and grey, you will always remember the name of the hollywood brother.

Now can you dig that sucka because this is the bottom line according to the hollywood brother, if you can smell what the hollywood brother is cooking

My favorite childhood posession was a large solar system wall poster.
We've all seen countless representations of the solar system.
This is the first one that gives me a feeling of the scope, like I'm lost in space between planets.

Haha, thanks all. I just thought it was cool to put it in perspective. I mean...Everything is so tiny and far apart. When you see those things on tv and whatnot showing all the planets so close together and big, you don't really get a sense of scale. This definitly put it in proportion for mel 😀
