Oh man today was total bs. I work in fast food.

1. I have to get to work early but have to walk.
2. No supplies and station is a mess.
3. Large crowds ordering friggin too much.
4. The audiot decided to make a suprise inspection. The store failed to pass.
5. Had to stay late just to clean dishes and grill (Not my usual rutine).
6. I'm still waiting to head back to BestBuy to return a product that had nothing in it....
7. My brother drops my drink all over my carpet.
8. Finally I stubbed my toe on my wooden bookshelf.

Man has anyone else had a day where it just couldn't get worse but did?

the hollywood brother got a better question. have you ever had a good day in fast food or retail?

I'm not sure I've had such a day where all the things happened at once in the same day. That may have happened, but it if it did, I don't remember.

I have had sequences of days where something goes wrong in each day, however.

One day earlier this year I had to make a very simple journey from south Jersey to north. When it goes right it should be a 5 hour trip or so due to having to transfer to and wait for several different trains and busses.
However I lost a ticket (had to repurchase), got on a wrong train (it was labled with the wrong line) which caused me to go in the ass wrong direction and turn around and come back, missed a train that caused me to wait a half hour in Camden (murder capitol of the US), missed another train by a minute causing me to wait for an hour for the next one, and I stood by a door waiting for my stop to come and the door NEVER OPENED which meant going further to the end of the line and riding BACK.

And all this on Friday the 13th.

The moral of the story? Either it's because of Friday the 13th, or I just have rotten luck of my own. So you should either avoid that date...or you should avoid me. =^_^=

I took my very un-travelled parents [never been out of their own county] to San Antonio to see my brother graduate from the Air Force. Four straight days with them, connecting flights, they speak no spanish...

I no longer fear death.

no sir i have always had the perfect day i am perfect yessir perfect as can be never had a bad day wtf

A bad day?
Yeah, I was born.
Then it went downhill.

Oh man, yes I have. You're not alone. At least yours didn't involve humiliating yourself in front of someone you've never actually met and then accidentaly hurting their feelings. Ever feel like a totall a$$hole?

EVERYBODY, has bad day's , even if they don't admit to them. That's why we use terms like Blue Monday, Hump Day and TGIF to describe the days we spend at the daily grind. 'SHIT' is another one and it stands for 'So Happy It's Thursday. I know when I have a bad day it usually begins before I am too far into my workday and it usually just gets worse as the day goes by. I don't have too many of them but when I do it's usually some asshole I work with who gets me upset and then it snowballs from there. If I say 'Is it Friday Yet' or 'Is it 3:20 Yet' which is quitting time tersely more than a couple times my co workers know I am having a bad day on the job. Since I punch a time clock and have to make standards everyday the pressure can build up easily if I let it so I try not to let that happen. If it does I find constuctive ways to vent my frustrations and that works for me every time.

I second that. Fascist food jobs and mall jobs are the worst. Actually, I take that back. I once had an electronic assembly job that made my teenage gig at Mickey D's look like a glamour job!

Bad days are all but inevitable. I imagine even people with corner offices, personal secretaries and cocaine stashes in their top desk drawers have them too, though of a slightly different character than most of us are used to.

Heck, take a look at Ken Lay. He's just had a very bad day!

Sometimes I can be really having a good day and then some wanker says or does something and it turns a great day into a terrible day.

I was enjoying my weekend once, and went to get my watch strap adjusted and the weather was great and I was happy because I had the time and money to get my watch adjusted and I was so polite to the clerk and I was feeling like "now my life is back on track", and then she says it:

"my goodness you are SO SKINNY"

...

My day went downhill after that. My low weight has been a sensitive issue with me, and she pushed the button right where it hurt.

...

oh well. I'll get over it.

Now that's comedy.
Easy way out. KEn Lay probably just stopped taking his heart medication, knowing full well what would happen if he did.

In Canada we had a (similar?) scandal - well similar in the sense that some guy stole money - Chuck Guite was convicted of defrauding (i think) the government of several million and convicted for a few years.

He's out on bail now. Granted it is not as large a scale as Enron, but I would be curious to know how he is going to handle his impending imprisonment...

From what I can read here, she probably wasn't picking on you. Not to say it shouldn't bother you. A sore spot is just that. Perhaps reminding her politely some time that calling attention to your physique does bother you will fix things. It's amazing how many bad situations can be fixed simply by briefly discussing them.

[emo rant]Bah, every day's a bad day. The grass is always greener on the other side, no matter which side you're actually on. There's only one thing good about life......Death. And dying, that's good too. Life's a b*tch, and then you die.[end emo rant]

So yeah, I have a bad day every.....now and then, and they suck. Now you all know why I stay drunk all the time LOL. 😛

I've had MANY bad days. Loads..... I used to work in retail and now I'm working at a call centre... Trust me, I've had LOADS of bad days. 😛

At my retail job, I swear... I mean, there are more mature people in the world than the immature idiots, but it seems that for as long as I worked in front cash, I only served the morons. Oh, there's this one lady, I shivered every time she came to my cash. (It almost became a physical shiver, but I had to hide it to be professional). Anyway, this lady ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS had to get everything on sale. And that's not bad... Until she points to EVERY item she brought to the cash saying, 'That's on sale' 'That's 50% off' 'That's buy one get one free'. And it's not a polite voice, either, it's a 'You're an idiot who doesn't know anything so just do what I say' tone of voice.

She tells me these things are on sale as if I didn't KNOW! As if I hadn't already rung THOUSANDS of these items through the cash for HUNDREDS of other people already that day! Holy shit lady!

*Rant over*

And my call centre job... Well, I've only been working there for a month or so, but man. Either I'm unlucky or God is playing some weird trick on me, but I ALWAYS get the crazy customers. Basically what I do is troubleshoot computer issues. (Me troubleshooting computers... How's THAT for one of Life's Tricks? 😛). But anyways, the customers I get... They're either angry at me because I couldn't solve their problem, or they're bitching about something else... Well, there's only so much one can do over the phone, and it's not MY damn fault the e-mail address the ISP gave you is shitty! All I can do is offer to make a sub account. If you want to change your Master e-mail, bloody don't whine to ME about it! I can't help you!

I also can't fix your stupid harddrive issues. Only Dell or Compaq can. There's nothing I can do if your damn Windows won't come up, and if I say there's no toll free number you can call, then there's no damn toll free number you can call! Sheesh! Oh, my friend got a call where a lady couldn't turn on her computer. She couldn't turn on her computer! What are we supposed to do about that?! We can't like snap our fingers and magically make your computer turn on!

*Rant over*

Anyways, yeah. So I've had bad days before. And will get more again.
