It may not look like much, but it took a fairly sick amount of complicated coding to get to this point.
The following screenshot is the end result of accomplishing the following within the game:
1) Creating a new contestant profile (which has its own GUI and dialog box)
2) Starting a new game and changing the settings (likewise)
3) Having the game load your profile and add you to the list of active players
4) managing the opening graphics/background scene
5) Initializing the new game with the chosen settings and starting the game itself.
In addition, the chat box works (sorta) and the game monitors for new network connections so people can play across the Internet.
