Young Barbara Streisand gets her foot tickled in "Owl & The Pussycat"

Very brief, but I always thought this was a super hot scene......

This is in the very beginning of the movie. As the credits roll, Barbara Streisand plays a hooker, all dolled up....she's standing on the street, it's pouring rain, so a rich guy pulls up and let's her come in the car. As soon as she's in, he puts his hand on her thigh and she rolls her eyes, as if to say, "here we go again...." The car pulls up to her place and the two run into her building.

Cut to nebbish George Segal in his apartment....that's where the clip starts....he's a writer, just about to start typing, when he hears the sound of a western on TV, blasting, gun shots and horses......annoyed, he gets up to look out the window, and there he sees, through the window, her bare legs stretched out on a bed, barefoot, as she's watching TV.......then a man walks in and gives her foot a quick tickle and shuts off her TV. After the scene, he sees the man put money on top of the TV.


Because it's such a short scene, and at a distance, I'm also including two quick clips that happen a few minutes later, when Streisand winds up in Segal's apartment. Here you can see alot better and closer the slender tickled sole in question....

Streisand would later get rib tickled in "Yentyl" (a movie she directed, incidentally) but it's very acted and, in my opinion, not nearly as hot as the situation in this clip, even though it's extremely brief.....it strikes me as very realistic, probably one of the most common ways a girl gets her foot tickled.....

You had my exact experience! Do you know....I have NEVER finished the movie!!! It happens right in the beginning.......and to this day, I've never made it past. The whole reason I was watching it was because my mother had said "That was a funny movie...." when I saw it in the TV guide.

I always thought it was Streisand......I mean she gets up to turn the TV back on....looks like Barb to me!

Thanks Jeff, it just makes you think...what OTHER scenes are out there that we don't know?!!! Some of them obvious ones, in famous movies like this one!

I wonder if you even remember..........Goldie Hawn, having her foot tickled while she's sitting on top of an elephant, on a travel show........man, if you could ever pull that out of your hat! And I believe that was on a mainstream tape with all sorts of things, who knows what's on there! (we're going back many years.....😉

And I believe that was on a mainstream tape with all sorts of things, who knows what's on there! (we're going back many years.....😉

I had forgotten all about that scene. That was on a VHS tape that I last saw probably 15 years ago 🙂

I'm sure somewhere someone has digitized whatever program that was, though.

It seems like.....five years, right? The TMF feels like only a few years old to me, I cannot believe it's been around this long. It's a friggin' institution, Jeff!! Thank you so much for all your work over the years.....but especially for this long coveted clip!!!!!

And as for that clip.....it's really short, slight, maybe inconclusive, but it seems like that to me....why else would she suddenly be laughing like that? It's a good cackle, too! Thank you, excellent friend.....that's a major one off my list, haunting me for YEARS. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go study it further!!!!!! GOLDIE!!!!!
