Describe your all-time favorite fictional character and what it is about them that apeals to or inspires you.

Mine is Goku from Dragonball Z. I like Goku because he's lighthearted, confident, compassionate, cheerful, dumb, hungry, has a strong sense of justice, likes to fight and is extremely durable. Everything about the guy screams hero. Thankyou, Mr. Toriyama for sharing your wonderful imagination with us!

Kevin Hill..from the self titled show, which is played by Taye Diggs. Love the character. Very Cool show. He takes in his cousins daughter, even tho he is the most ultimate party animal-lawyer (in NYC i beleive.) well he at first doesnt want her, but then realizes he owes his cousin for takin the fall way back when he had a scholarship and his cousin had nothing to look forward to( borrowed a car in which they got pulled over and the owner of the car had a gun in it..cousin spent jail time for it) Well, he still trys to maintain a social life, as a single father, and works full time (hired a nanny if thats what you call him) and just seems like a fun and intelligent guy. Cool show, i recommend it to everyone.

This one is a difficult question as there are so many. I'll have to get back to you later.

Ticklekiller, maybe you should put some kind of a cautionary in your first post there. I have every reason based on whats happened before to believe that if God, or gods, or religions , or people's belief or moral systems were brought up as something someone favors as a "fictional" thing that it wouldn't necessarily go as planned and people would argue and flame eachother, and I'm sure thats not what you intented this thread for.

Just a little suggestion made in foresight. 🙂

Are you suggesting that the legend of Son Gokuu is regarded with religious values?? If so, I had no idea and didn't intend any emotional harm to anyone who feels commited to paying homage to Son Gokuu. Biting tongue very hard as I am often a smartass.

Well, being that you are saying you are being a smartass, you would know I'm not talking about an anime character. 😛

The problem is that just about anything can be called "fictional" these days. I'm sure you're well aware of that. 😛

It would be WAY too hard to sift through the array of fantastic fictional characters to pick just one favorite. Impossible really. The best I could do is name a few that stick out for me.
The Vampire Lestat - being the star of so many books has really developed his character in ways most others don't have the page space to do.
Elizabeth Bennet of pride and Prejudice - people jst dont write like that anymore.
poo...if I go on I'll end up naming my favorite character from every book or movie that I own. Good topic...Impossible to answer though!

Oh no no no not this religious-crap again. If you're gonna be a smart ass and say "duhh God is my favorite fictional character!" then obviously you don't belong here. Let's leave the religious stuff aside for once, yes? Okay, glad we settled that. Don't agree with me, or say against it, JUST LEAVE IT ALONE RIIIIGHT HERE, THIS LINE

Okay, I'd have to say my favorite fictional character is......hm..... that's a tough one. Wait, no it's not! For a female, that would be a video game character, Mileena from Mortal Kombat (this comes as a surprise to everyone that knows a little about me, I'm sure). She's....tall, beautiful, dark-haired, physically fit, and has razor-sharp teeth to eat people with! In the newest MK she's been known to say things like "I'm going to sharpen my teeth with your bones!". How adorable is that!?

I agree that this is very broad with a fictional character, like it could be anyone or anything from Homer Simpson to Ethan Hunt..."Mission Impossible"....

But, I would have to say my favorite fictional character is........The Vampire Lestat.

Though I do not believe in vampires portayed as Lestat//'the blood suckers that burst into flames thru sunlight, and that a woodeden stake thru the heart would not harm." Lestat has brought much to the imagination...and I totally love much about this charcter.

Oh my.....LMFAO Here's a good quote for you she-devil

"I was walking across a bridge one day, and I saw a man standing on the edge, about to jump off. so I ran over and said "Stop! don't do it!"
"Why shouldn't I?" he said.
I said, "Well, there's so much to live for!"
He said, "Like what?"
I said, "Well...are you religious or atheist?"
He said, "Religious."
I said, "Me too! Are you christian or buddhist?"
He said, "Christian."
I said, "Me too! Are you catholic or protestant?"
He said, "Protestant."
I said, "Me too! Are you episcopalian or baptist?"
He said, "Baptist!"
I said, "Wow! Me too! Are you baptist church of god or baptist church of the lord?"
He said, "Baptist church of god!"
I said, "Me too! Are you original baptist church of god, or are you reformed baptist church of god?"
He said, "Reformed baptist church of god!"
I said, "Me too! Are you reformed baptist church of god, reformation of 1879, or reformed baptist church ofgod, reformation of 1915?"
He said, "Reformed baptist church of reformation of 1915!"
I said, "Die, heretic scum", and pushed him off."

Good one, AR.

...

Hey, that's true... wasn't that the golden monkey tale? I've got some paintings somewhere around my hd.

"Journey to West" is another name the legend of the Monkey is known by.

...

Was wondering... whatchya mean fav? Fav tickler? Fav ticklee? Or just plain fav?

Can I say my fav char is just me? I'm rather fictional myself...

Oh yes! That story is great! They based (and I mean LOOSELY based) Dragon Ball Z around it, also a manga-form comic called Xin.

Saiyuki as well, although it is more closely based upon the old tale, which is Chinese in origin, if I remember correctly.

Ellery Queen. As a dectective he used a lot of logical deductive reasoning, which is my style of thought. Not by force, but by brains. Has always been my favorite

the hollywood brother admits he got no idea. The hollywood brother would love to have the toughness of a old school john wayne character, but the heart of a great fictional lover like the pirate in black who teamed with andre in the princess bride. Wesley was cool but had a strong sense of love for his fair lady

AR that's hilarious 😛 There was en episode of Cheers very much like that where Wood and his girlfriend have a huge fight because one of them is Lutherin and the other is...shoot...I dont remember but something very simliar. And they argue about tiny details like that. 😛

Currahee...you reminded me of one of the things I loved so very much about Ann Rice's vampires. They weren't stereo typed clones of traditional vampires. They didn't turn into bats and they could see themselves in the mirror. I thought that was very well done. Damn Ive got to pick up that series again...
