youtube's gone haywire

I can't watch anymore videos on youtube. It tells me that I've either turned off Java or that I need to install the new flash player. I have went to the flash player site twice now and both times it supposedly downloaded it and I was supposed to have it. Any ideas?

Hmm... works fine for me. What web browser are you using? Did the installation end correctly?

I had the same problem. I thought it was my computer. But I decided to take out Flashplayer all together and then download it again. It worked fine after that. I still get the same message in Youtube, but only for a couple of seconds and then it will download the clip.

I would recommend using the Flash uninstaller to remove the old player completely, then download the new version of Flash player and run the installer from your desktop.

YouTube may have disabled use of older versions of Flash because of a recent security exploit in all versions below 9.0.124.0. You can test your Flash player at http://www.macromedia.com/software/flash/about/
