"Where the hell is another pair of Speed Shoes?!"
Just to show that I haven't stopped doing the typical linear and shaded images during my bit of a break (and during the creation of Vermilion Crescent), here's...well...a typical one from me. Yet another one of THOSE shaded pencil sketches.
'Zombies Ate My Neighbors' was a classic (its pseudo-sequel 'Ghoul Patrol'...less so) of the 16-bit gaming times, released for both the SNES and Genesis. The title says it all: 2 teenagers (Zeke and Julie) with a ton of makeshift weapons and gadgets try to save their neighborhood from a horde of classic and movie based monsters apparently created by the evil Dr. Tongue. It was an incredibly complex (and long...and fun) shooting/exploring romp. I'd recommend you take a try of it if you haven't yet. ^^
As for the pic here? An obvious pun on the game's title featuring the female character, Julie. Some tricky motion/perspective of water-gun toting Julie as she's in mid bounce off a trampoline in the background and trying to clear her landing space as she blasts away, kicking. Apparently she lost her sneakers to a rabid wolfman or something...
Pardon the somewhat banal background of enemies and items from the game, but I'm sure the focus is on Julie there anyway. 😉 ZAMN forever!

As an aside, you'll probably note some difference in the scanning of linear/shaded images compared to the ones before I, eh, vanished back in April. Among other reasons for that 'break', one included my previous desktop finally dying. I'm using a new laptop for now but for some reason the same scanner doesn't work as well with this machine, hence the difference in scanning. Also lost most of my image programs in the crash...
There are quite a bunch more images like this saved up that I've done over the 'silence period', it wasn't all Vermilion the whole time. 😉
