I've been thinking a lot about the way people act here on the forums, and whether or not that has more to do with the anonymity of it all, or if people are just generally irritating.
This caused me to ponder driving habits. I was tailgated for most of my drive home from being out last night, and while I find that incredibly annoying, instead of just pulling over and letting the driver behind me pass, I slowed down to just under the speed limit, which I'm sure is not the proper way to handle things.
Is it that we behave differently when there is little to no chance of personal, face-to-face confrontation?
How many of us say we act the same way in person than we do behind the wheel or behind a screen? I certainly don't, though perhaps I should start.
Character is who you are when no one is watching. Maybe that should be the new motto of the TMF.
