There is a debate going on right now about whether or not to close the Politics and Religion forum. You can go check it out on your own if you haven't already, but it basically comes down to whether or not there can be civil conversation about serious issues without it turning into Flame War 2011.
Now, I gave my two cents, which shouldn't count for much at all, but here's my question.
In this day in age, where anyone with a basic knowledge of e-mail and an imagination can hide behind a screen name, can we truly have civil conversation?
When someone can be anonymous, they can say whatever they want with little fear of reprisal. How do we combat that?
