Today started really badly., but got better.. as my relatives finally showed some support.
I was summoned into the office for a meeting, even though it was a holiday. The meeting was between me, this one other new agent, and the guy who is now going to be supervising me on a regular basis, ,. K.
That';s his first initial. I don't want to post his name.
It's upsetting.. I was working so well with Jay, Ed, and even Tim.. Today was my second meeting with K, and simply put, we do not mesh.
I try to ask K pertinent questions to aid me with being a new agent. I find at times he doesn't pay attention, and acts condescending.. belittling my concerns.
When I told my dad about him, my dad was mega supportive, saying all I can do is try, and I cant beat myself up. He even said that if this doesn't work out.. he will help with the original business I wanted to do.
I don't want to be negative.. but..
When I asked my dad why Jay handed me off to K, my dad said that happens.
I went to lunch with my friend Barney at Mr K's Chinese place. (No relation to the K I'm working with). Barney said I seemed very upset after my meeting.
I'm going to do my part. After the snowstorm, K and I have an agreement that I'm going to go to businesses to try and promote our sales pitch. I'm going to live up to my end of the bargain. If I continue to have problems with K, I'm going to express my concerns to Jay.
For now, I'm going to go through the sales pitch list, and then get to work.
I hope this can be worked out. I like Jay and Ed so much, and even Tim seems to be coming around. I hope my concerns about K are put to rest, if I can make this work.
