Before I went for my colonoscopy, I of course was required to take a Covid test.
I took the Covid test, then went for the Colonoscopy on Tuesday, which I have already posted the details of.
I posted the symptoms of what happened with that.
I was so freaked out about the symptoms before the colonoscopy, and the test itself, plus the prep, where I was feeling so lousy before the test.
Before I went in for the colonoscopy , the nurse who took me in for the procedure was like.
"Mitchell, your Covid test was negative"
Due to the symptoms I had before the colonoscopy. I kept thinking to myself.,
"Prepare yourself, Mitch. With your luck, you probably have Colon Cancer".
Anyhow, so before they took me in for the colonoscopy. when the nurse said. "Your Covid test was negative, you don't have Covid"
Mitch's response , which I clearly remember was. "I dont care".
After my doctor told me that my problem was a Polyp, that he took it out, and that I Thank God did not have Colon Cancer, I apologized to both my Dr , and his nurse.
Of course, they both understood. They said.
"Mitch, we knew you were probably not thinking when you said that. You were so concerned that maybe you had Colon Cancer, that you just spoke before thinking""
When I make statements or say things off the top of my head.
I have a friend who calls such statements "A Mitch Moment"
For the week before the Colonoscopy, with the symptoms I was having, I kept thinking.
"Colon Cancer, Colon Cancer".
I was so fixated on that, that the thought of having Covid did not even really trouble my mind.
As it turns out, I Thank God do not have either Colon Cancer or Covid.
I'm feeling pretty lousy, but my Dr told me, and handed me a packet saying that I could feel weak and lousy for a week after the test.
I know that it will take time to feel better.
Most important, I don't have anything seriously wrong with me.
