So it has been a while since I last updated my blog.
A lot of wonderful things have been happening since I last updated my blog back in the beginning of July.
The greatest news I can share is that my sister had another PET scan and it could find no trace of any cancerous lumps or anything around the area they were originally in. The chemo has obviously had a positive effect on my sister and has helped her get rid of her cancerous lymphnodes 100%. So she is in remission now and a survivor of cancer.
She still has three chemotherapy treatments left and then she will be finished except for the few yearly checkups she will have to endure for the next ten years or so.
Finally our family is at peace with what has happened and we can move past it. I really do believe that all the positive thoughts, energy, love, and prayers that were sent our family's way by so many wonderful, caring people also had an effect on my sister's recovery.
Some would argue and say that science and medicine is what cured my sister but I can't think of it in such sterile terms.
I believe my sister's recovery has to do with a mixture of both medical and spiritual aspects, and I am just so glad she is going to be okay.
Aside from my sister's recovery against Hodgkin's disease, my summer has been going really well too!
A lot of my friends graduated this year and moved away so I was feeling a bit lonely in the friend department. I still have my best friend, but she lives a few hours away and was taking classes all summer. I was able to see her a few times, but it's not the same as having a friend close by to call up and just go over and hang out with.
I have started making some new, very good friends. I am putting myself out there and really grab life by the balls 😀
I hope this upcoming school year (that starts in a week, god help me) will be wonderful! I want it to be and I intend to make it one of the best years of my life. 😀
