So...after my relationship fiasco, I decided to lay low and concentrate on finishing my education. It was around this time that my parents finalized their divorce and I came to realize that I much preferred being self-sufficient and independent. While I admire my mother and her strengths, I knew I didn't want to follow in her footsteps. I chose to stay at Purdue, to live on campus, and work my way through summers teaching anatomy to vet techs, cleaning small animal surgery, milking cows and cleaning stalls, and working in the vet school library. I found the internet was just taking off and my eyes were opened to a whole new world. I would finish my work and spend time in the computer lab (thankfully open 24hr but frequented by few people after midnight). I remember feeling elation at the discovery of each new site that featured tickling. Little did I know that not only were there others who enjoyed this phenomenon, a community was in the making!
