If my mom is good for anything, it's being a nurse. How she manages to have a job, let alone be good at it, is beyond me.
She was coming up here this morning to pick up the drum set my dad bought for my sister. So I called in to work saying I'd be late and I had her look at it. She put some antiseptic stuff on it and used some plastic bandage tape to keep the two pieces of skin together so they'd heal normal. Then she put some skin cellophane stuff around it and when I went to work I covered it with gauze just to be safe.
She left me with a bag of gauze, tape, and other weird medical stuff and told me to leave the bandage off when I sleep so it can dry out.
All sounds pretty gross and/or boring, but it was good to have someone in the medical field look at it rather than listen to a manager of a fast food restaurant.
So yeah, no more ouchies.
