Though I have no idea how I could since I was born and raised in Minnesota. The only 'accent' I should have is a Minnesotan one. Y'know: ya sure ya betcha dontcha know. 😛
Anyhoo, so I had a customer yesterday who commented that I have a little bit of a southern accent. She was a bit surprised when I told her that I'm a lifelong Minnesotan. She wasn't the first person to comment on this. She's like the fifth or sixth person to comment on my 'southern accent' over a seven year period.
The only southern state I've ever been to is Kentucky. My dad's sister and her family live down there and they come home every Christmas and sometimes in the summer time too. The first time I went to KY was when I was 10, then again five more times since then. So that's the only southern influence I've really had.
So yeah ...
Like I said, apparently I have a little bit of a southern accent.
