I'm going to put this in my blog, so it doesn't cause the kind of blowup that the thread about my losing my situation with Aflac did.
Barney: Who I've known, half my life, since college, and who has lost.. countless jobs and always had Mitch to lick his wounds when he did.
He lives in my complex. I REALLY could have used some cheering up this weekend. Dinner. for an hour.. to come over to each other;s apartment's and talk.. Something to take my mind off losing my job.
As always.. he had his.. religiously scheduled two week visit with his friend Paul. This time he went up to see Paul.
He didn't.. see me.. Friday night.. or come home early to have dinner with me tonight.
Barney just called, and I blew up at him on the phone, and slammed the phone on him. This is becoming a theme with him, where he has time for Paul and everyone else always, and never me.
I'm about ready to pull the plug on another 20 plus year friendship. Maybe if he didn't live in my complex, and maybe, if I didn't lick his wounds every time something bad happened to him, this wouldn't infuriate me so much.
Whatever his explanation is, I don't care. I plan to take a long, if not permanent, hiatus from him.
