I was just sitting back and thinking about the correlation between the times that the Atlanta and New York MLB and NBA teams play, and the events in my life. This might be coincidence, but, for almost the past twenty years, some major, or life changing, event has happened many times when, mostly the Mets and Braves, but a couple of times, the Knicks and Hawks, were playing each other. I have to wonder if this is omen, or coincidence. Among the events were, starting in 1992.
1992-I return to college, after a year hiatus, when the Mets and Braves are playing in New York.
1994- I graduate from college- again, the Mets and Braves are playing in New York.
1995- My beloved grandmother passes away, just hours after the Mets and Braves complete a series in New York.
1998- My mom and I find out about a freak real estate case, where all the tenants in our town of Fort Lee, NJ, were overcharged rent by landlords. That case led to our move to Lancaster. Again, the Mets and Braves were playing in New York, when we found out about the case.
1999- The New York Knicks and Atlanta Hawks are playing in a playoff series, when my mom and I moved from NJ to Lancaster.
2010- I take my mom to the hospital, on the day the Knicks and Hawks are playing a game at Madison Square Garden.
Maybe all these major incidents in my life on the days of the New York-Atlanta games are coincidence, but, my mom has always said "Every time that New York and Atlanta MLB or NBA teams play each other, there is always some trouble, or life changing event, in our lives".
Is this just coincidence, or creepy correlation?
