For those who have a big family you may understand where I'm coming from when I tell you this.
I have a cousin named Laureen ( real name ) she and I are 8 years apart in age. For the last 5 years or so my wife and I very generously invite her and her fiance ( John ) over for dinner/drinks etc she always replys with we cant we're busy that weekend now i've asked her way the fucking hell in advance atleast a month so i dont know what her schedule is like thats why i ask so early.
And Everytime we cant were busy. But never once in all the time that they have been together bout 5 + years did they invite us to they're home and here my wife and i foolishly invite them over time and time again only to be turned down every single time.
NOW we get an invitation in the mail from her to attend her wedding. Realizing all the times she has said no and never thought of inviting us out or saying hey about this date instead. Suddenly we mean something to her. I thought about it for a couple of days and decided to return the RSVP I filled out my wife's and my name on it and the # of guests attending i put the best looking ZERO i could have written.
Now i know for certain that she really didnt care if we went or not because I've yet to hear from her in terms of why arent you coming. I like to think i did the right thing maybe now she knows what it's like to turned away after so many years of her doing it to us. I know the old saying 2 wrongs dont make a right. But the fact of the matter is my wifes and my feelings are hurt way the hell to often
