-A month before NEST, I got a call for a job I applied for and gave up on 8 months ago. It's the same kind of deal, but twice the pay, with benefits for fewer hours.
-The day I left for NEST, I wrote a written test for this job. I blew it out of the water.
-I've had to deal with numerous beligerant customers and nutcases at my work, all of whom were cussed out by my manager, some banned from the store. The manager has told me he doesn't know what he'll do if I leave. I do my job that well.
-NEST 10 was better than I could have hoped. Those I was concerned with stayed in their proper place, at least with me. Some that I had apprehensions about became friends, or at least friendlier. It was a re-affirmation of my faith in this community.
-I returned from NEST to a significant winfall from circumstances I won't get into. Suffice to say, money isn't an object for me until at least the end of the year.
-I learned how to do basic rope suspensions and have put together a suspension rig. I don't have a consistant place to use it yet, but here's hoping. If nothing else, it willb e fun at future gatherings.
-FROST is taking off nicely, I think. I need to talk to the host soon and finish all the planning. However, there is interest and there are girls there willing to play, which is awesome.
-I've got an interview for this new job on June 2nd. I can only hope.
-I've made very good friends with a stunning young woman. She visits this weekend. I can't remember the last time I was this excited for anything.
I don't know why now or what it is. The last few weeks have burned out a lot of the tension I've had over the preceding....two years really. For the first time in a long time, I feel human again.
