C.A.B.ified Classics ~ Princess Daphne
Liner Notes: I've had this one on the C.A.B.ified Classics list for a long time. A vendetta of sorts. In 1983 the first fully animated laserdisc video game, Dragon's Lair, hit the arcades and we all clambered to slam our coins into the machine that put the other pixelated games to visual shame.
But lo, the fuckin' game was maddening, dare I say near impossible, as one wrong jerk of the joystick and there was a slight, enraging pause as the laserdisc skipped to the scene where you knew Dirk the Daring would meet a dastardly doom. The game was quite unforgiving and I must have pumped an armored carload of quarters into that damn thing. Never did win.
I came to hate dicked-up Dirk, and wished all sorts of evil on his damsel in distress, the comely and winsome Princess Daphne. Now the Evil Wizard Mordroc and I can have the last laugh (as it were.) There's nothing like a little heat to tenderize lovely pink soles for some prolonged tickle torture. Dirk doesn't seem to notice, being that he is doing what he does best. Being dead.
Life is good. 🙂
