I had it all planned. Since there is a bunch of road construction around Indianapolis I'll leave an hour early so I can allow for getting lost, slow traffic and reduced speed work zones. This should put me in Louisville at 6pm ....right on time. Nope, smooth sailing all the way down the state and I sat in the parking lot of the cafe for over an hour until I was loudly greeted by a pretty little curley headed Turtlegirl. I didn't notice much of the wait because of a call I got from Bugman wondering what I was up to.
We start into the cafe and were joined by Amandabear who I somehow missed as she also got there an hour early and sat in the lot not twenty yards away from me. So much for timing, huh.
The cafe Cassi chose was a fun looking place. We were getting our table when from behind us came very familiar voices. Fireguardian and CapnMad appeared just behind us from Philadelphia! What the hell??? Cassi lets out a mighty Turtle roar and the hugs begin again. Seems that for some reason they were in Louisville for the weekend and were teasing Cassi by text saying they wished they could be there and all that jazz to keep her off balance. It worked! Before we ordered a lady came to the table and shyly asked if we were internet people. She was a long time lurker who decided it was time to meet a few people since she also lived in the city. Good for her! This is what these munches are all about. Then Desdemona showed up fashionably late and more fun and talk.
After eating and laughing and picture taking at the table which we monopolized for two and a half hous we went to the play area where we laughed and talked and took pictures with all the neat stuff they have there. All in all it was a fun and relaxing time for me. Amanda and I had to get back home so here came another ten minutes of hugs and stuff, and the rest went to Cassi's and continued the gettogether. You'l have no doubt noticed that I didn't mention a thing about being called a butthole, pulling a joke on Cassi with CrystalLight's help, being called a butthole again, making a phone call to KrazieDog or Cassi getting tipsy on the first beer and spilling the second one.
So if you ever have the chance to attend a munch I would highly recommend you do so. In a relatively short time you can get to know the feel of the people attending and if you are not careful...you could make some very wonderful and interesting friends. And you feel a little sad to go home because you don't want to go home.
