number one: the versus in the title should always be abbreviated the way it is, just a v.. for some reason it bugs me when it's vs. or spelled out versus. but moving on...
number two: while the title of this blog may seem as if I care about which is better, I really don't. if you do, then feel free to comment and let me and the rest of the TMF know which side you stand on. I have a few things to mention about these two competing brands. we'll start with coca-cola's role in helping rebuild Nazi Germany! anybody like fanta orange? it was created to help raise coca-cola's profits in a rebuilding Germany after WWI. PepsiCo owns half the world they say, but I don't really care, because I don't mind who owns it, because you can be guaranteed that somebody would own it for the exact same reasons: power.
here's a tidbit about me, I love Diet Coke! this is the quintessential drink of the world, maybe even the galaxy. No other beverage comes close to the taste or satisfaction of Diet Coke, save for Diet Pepsi. but if you've been drinking diet cola, you can tell that there is a difference, but the difference doesn't matter to me, except for that I like the silver and red color scheme of Diet Coke. not very persuasive perhaps, but it's not meant to be. maybe most importantly, both mix with rum equally well!
number three: I have just finished my application for grad school. I am confident I will get in. confidence is one of the keys to personal success, not just optimism, but a true belief that you can handle anything that comes at you. people will see you differently. if you don't feel better after encountering people and recognizing their newfound belief in you as a person, then i just don't know what else to tell you! what I am not confident about is whether I get the assistantship with one of my professors, mostly because I have no face to face interaction with those who would select me. wish me luck!
number four: think about your face. it's important! that's how we determine who looks attractive to us or how we identify our loved ones and others. you know what you look like. you've seen pictures and looked in a reflecting surface, like a mirror.
but
your face is one of the few socially prevalent and important measures in this world we live in that you have never seen in reality! like your back or the top of your head, you can't force your eyes to see your face without obstacles or something else in the way.
you must rely on other social and physical constructs to determine your own residual self images. oh yeah, we all know what we look like.
but can you really be sure?
